Pandora is wonderful when I have time to sit in front of the computer and rate songs, but I started thinking about all those times I wanted music, but didn’t want to rate the songs. Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a site that let me play radio stations instead? Enter Live 365. Here you can sign up to be a free member and listen to the radio from your computer.
The first thing you need to do when you get to the site is register. To do this, go to the Login or Sign Up link on the blue bar that runs across the screen, near the top of the page. Fill out the information and click Join Now. This takes you to a page that tells you to check your e-mail for the activation link and it has a bunch of offers on it. I always so “No” to the offers, as they tend to generate spam. Activate your account with the link in your e-mail. Once you’ve activated, you are good to go and you can start listening to all your favorite types of music!
Now you can use the dark gray tabs to navigate. Your options are: Browse Genres, Search, Recommendations, Favorites and Podcasts.
Browse Genres – here you can select a genre from the main set or you can choose from A to Z.
Search – here you get a very functional search engine. You can search by Artist/Track/CD, Station Info, Genre or Location. You can even filter your search with the drop down boxes.
Recommendations – here you will find recommended stations based on what you listen to. I think it is based on what you chose as your favorite genre when you registered.
Favorites – here you can find songs and stations that you’ve rated. When you are listening to stations, you’ll notice that each song has a thumbs up and thumbs down sign. You can rate and start your collection of favorites.
Podcasts – here you can find podcasts. They were all for Toyota when I was there, so I don’t really have much to recommend about this section.
Are you ready to start jamming to your favorite tunes? I know I am!
