Do you know anything about the Maxthon Browser? If so, can you please fill us in? Thanks!
Well, as a matter of fact, I can! I have to be honest though. I hadn’t heard of Maxthon until I saw it mentioned on our message board and then again when I received this question in my e-mail Inbox. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that I did not know much about this browser until I started researching it just the other day. But I must say, after I looked into all of its features and everything else that comes along with it, I was very impressed. If you’ve been thinking about switching over to a new Web browser, you might want to give Maxthon a try. Allow me to tell you a little more about it and then you can decide from there. How’s that sound?!
First of all, you can visit Maxthon’s Web site for yourself by clicking here. The first thing I noticed was their little motto, which is “The Way We Surf the World.” I thought that was pretty clever! Across the top, you’ll see the links for Home, Features, Downloads, Support, Sponsor Us and About Us. I wanted to learn a little more about Maxthon, so on my first visit, I clicked on the About Us link. It looks like Maxthon has been around since 2003 and they have released a few new versions along the way. At the present time, the current version is Maxthon 2.0. From this page, I also gathered that the creators of Maxthon designed this browser to basically give people a new way to surf the Web. How nice of them!
Next, I went on to look at the Features link. This is where Maxthon really started to impress me. For starters, they offer tabbed browsing. Now, I know most of you already use tabbed browsing in either Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox, but Maxthon brings its own unique style to the feature as well. When you use it, all of your Web pages are arranged in order along the top of the main window. There’s also a wonderful right click menu that comes along with each new tab you open.
Of course, that’s only one of the features Maxthon offers. Some of the others include Anti-Freeze, Mouse Gestures, Super Drag and Drop, Maxthon Smart Acceleration, Undo List, Magic Fill, Online Favorites Service, Feed Reader, Super Proxy, URL Alias, Web Bar, Utilities, URL Key, Ad Hunter, Screen Capture and Web Sniffer. Wow! As you can see, this browser comes along with just about everything you could possibly need. Since there are so many features, I didn’t have enough time to explain all of them, but if you want to learn more about a certain one or all of them, just click here to do so!
Now, along with all of that, Maxthon also has some secure browsing features, including Security Updates, Clean Private Data and a Trusted Web Site Check. All three of those help to make your browsing experience with Maxthon just that much safer, which is always very helpful. It is also 100 percent malware free! Maxthon is also fully customizable. It has plug-ins you can download, different skins you can try out, filter packs and it’s even available in multiple languages. How cool is all of that?!
Maxthon also offers support if you’re having any trouble using their browser. Just click on the Support link and you’ll find some FAQs that will help answer any questions you may have. Or, if you want to contact Maxthon directly, just click on the Contact Us link at the very top of the page and you can send them an e-mail. You can submit feedback from that link as well. Just type in what you’d like to say, select the category it best fits under (you can choose from Tech Support and Help, Business or Development) and then hit the Submit Feedback button. You’ll do the exact same thing if you have a question for them.
So, are you ready to download Maxthon and give it a try for yourself? I don’t blame you! Well, to download it, just click on this link. Choose the version you’d like to get (again, version 2.0 is the most recent) and then just click on the big yellow button to get started. It’s a small download, so it doesn’t take very long to do. Just follow the directions and you’ll then have a brand new Web browser at your side. I hope you enjoy Maxthon as much as I already do. It really does put a whole new spin on surfing the Web. Enjoy!
