The Museum of Modern Art presents Popart. This is a very interesting and fun way to explore modern art.
When you arrive at the site you will be faced with a few options. How do you want to view the site? Select from Full Screen (recommended) or just enter the site.
You can also check out two videos before entering the site. They are How Does Popart work? I highly recommend you watch this before diving in. The video explains how to navigate the site, what to do once you’ve made all your selections, and a couple of very cool features. The other video is Who’s Behind Popart? It is an interesting spoken word song that explains what the purpose of the site is and who created it.
So now you’re ready to dive in! Choose how you’ll view the site and then get ready to explore a gallery of almost 200 different pieces of art. The art ranges from paintings, sculptures, films, and objects. Once the art has loaded click the blue Begin button.
Your screen will then fill with art bubbles, pop the ones you like or are curious about, then when you have all the art you want to look at click my selections at the bottom right of the page. This will open up the selection window and you can click on the red circles to learn more about the art you have picked out. Pretty darn neat, right?
