We all have them… the messages that come in over and over, but we don’t want them and no matter what we do they still keep on sending them.
A very, very crowded Inbox.
While for the most part I can’t get away from the fact that my Inbox will be crowded, I can certainly work on thinning the crowd.
MS Outlook comes with the ability to block senders from your Inbox.
The feature doesn’t delete the message, instead it moves them into your Junk E-mail folder – allowing you to retrieve one should it become necessary.
I can’t speak for everyone, but it sounds like a great idea to me, so let’s take a look at how to accomplish this task.
Start by selecting a message from the sender you wish to block. (Don’t open it – just select it.)
Right-click on the message and choose Junk E-mail / Add Sender to Blocked Senders List. (The phrasing may change depending upon program version but you’re looking to block the sender.)
That’s all there is to it – messages from that sender will bypass your Inbox clearing the way for the stuff you actually want to see.
