How do I get the clock on my tablet to keep accurate time? I reset it every time the tablet is turned on, and click “done”.
Linda, I can’t say for sure what’s causing the issue, but I do have one fairly quick solution for you to try out.
Go to “Settings” on your tablet. You can find that by clicking the gear icon or sometimes by just hitting the menu button on your homescreen. It will vary from tablet to tablet.
Now let’s look for date and time on your particular device. You may have to tap the tab for Device or More to locate that feature.
Tap on Date and time to open.
Look to see if you have Automatic date and time checked. If it is checked, uncheck the box and see if that helps the problem. If it’s not checked, try ticking that box and seeing if that makes a difference.
If neither of those solutions help, you might want to head on over to the Google Play store and look for a different clock app.
If none of that makes a difference, try leaving your tablet plugged in to the charger for awhile and see if it loses time. If it keeps time when plugged in, the issue could be your tablet battery.
If none of those things make a difference, there’s a chance going nuclear and resetting your tablet to factory defaults might help. But this would mean you’d have to set up everything on your tablet from scratch.
