So what happens when you use F-Connect on Facebook for everything? Well, you end up giving a lot of applications permissions to your information. And it’s really easy to stop using something and not remember to remove it. How do I know? Well, I’m incredibly guilty of it. It’s just so easy to press that F-Connect button, fool around with the application or website, and then forget I did it.
Well no more! Not since I found MyPermissions! A site dedicated to helping you understand permission settings and managing them.
I suggest you start off in the Read Our Story section which explains the mission statement of the site, and goals for the future as well as giving you a good idea of what the site does.
Then if you’re like me and you’ve been using F-Connect for everything – you’ll want to try out the green Get Alerts when Facebook Apps Gain Access to Your Info button. When I click it whisks me away to page that will let me install the MyPermissions Cleaner for Google Chrome (the browser I use) and it also explains what it does. Still on the fence? Check out the video by clicking on it. It explains thoroughly how it works and made me decide to install it.
You can also sign up for monthly reminders to clean your permissions up by typing in your e-mail in the text box on the main page and clicking Get Reminders. Another area you might be interested in is the FAQ page to help answer any questions you may have.
Are you ready to face the amount of apps that have access to your information and then take control of your privacy by managing them? I am!
