When I ran across this article on the Smithsonian Magazine, I knew I had to share it with you.
This site really elevates the online magazine article with its interactive offering. When you arrive at the site, you’ll have to scroll down past the interactive portion of the article to read about the new museum. Once you’ve read about the new museum and checked out the small gallery, be sure to scroll back up and interact with the image of the building.
You can click on the image hotspots to learn more about that highlighted area. Clicking on a hotspot will open an informational pop-up. You can also click on the arrow button on the right side of the page. This will rotate the building and provide you with access to other hotspots. These give you an idea not only of the different exhibits in the museum, but also the spaces in the museum like the contemplation court with waterfall, the front lawn, the cafeteria, and even under the museum.
Want to check out the museum itself? Well you can, just click here and you’ll be whisked away to the museum’s website.
