Navigating with thumbnails in Word 2007

You know those little miniature slides you see on the left side of your PowerPoint program window when in the Normal view? I don’t know about you but I love them. They make it very easy to jump around the presentation, especially the longer ones, without going through slide by slide.
Well, if you love those then you just may be pleased to know that they’re available in Word 2007 too.
Once again, they can be an amazing help with navigation through long documents. You might even find them helpful with layouts of those long documents since you can easily see how the pages flow from one to the other.
So, if you agree that they could be helpful then it’s time to go over the “how to” of thumbnails in Word 2007.
Actually, there isn’t much to the “how to”… all you need to do is take a quick trip to the View tab of the Ribbon. On the View tab, in the Show/Hide section check Thumbnails.
That’s it! On the left side of the program window you’ll now have thumbnails of your document pages lending you a helping hand during the day.
