You’ve probably attached a picture to an email, or put it in the body. Maybe you’ve opened it in your imaging software or web authoring program. If so, then you know how annoying it is to be faced with a mess of file names. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what those pictures look like before you insert?
With some programs, like Photoshop, there is a preview window, but what… Continue reading
Well, this site is obviously about Steam Locomotives. To explore you have the option of Photo Collection, Video Collection, and Tourism.
Photo Collection — Here you will find three awesome galleries. Click on photos and details for each gallery to browse to your heart’s content. My favorite gallery is the third one by Daniel Secarescu. He captured some amazing views of the locomotives.
Video Collection &mdash… Continue reading
When I put in the second disk for a program I get a message asking me what program I want to use to open it. Why can’t Windows see the right program?
If you try to install a second disk that only contains data you might get a message when you double-click the drive asking you to choose a program.
Just cancel and open the… Continue reading
Ready to sit back, relax, and enjoy a little nostalgia? Now, while I can only reminisce about the 80’s, I still really enjoyed going through the rest of the site. What’s it all about? Well it’s about the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s and what happened during those years in America, Australia, Canada, Europe and the UK.
The easiest way to surf is to just choose the year you want to… Continue reading
I have so many drives in my PC it makes my head spin—15 to be exact. I have to label them or I would be opening and closing all kinds of drives looking for what I want. You can also assign different icons to drives, or folders, which makes them completely customizable and unique.
What about Removable drives or CD’s? You can label CD’s, but wouldn’t it be cool to… Continue reading
This is by far one of the most thorough sites on Ancient Egypt. You can use the plain text version of the site, you can use the ultra-spiffy multimedia version of the site, or you can use the guided tour option.
The guided tour was very neat and an efficient walk through of the site. I highly recommend it. But I am also a big fan of surfing around a… Continue reading
Where do I begin? This free download is a recommendation from Shawn (part of the creative force here at Worldstart). It’s a 3D rendering/animation program, he informed me, but he was a little concerned that it may be a little much for the average reader. Not having a ton of exposure to this type of program I ignored Shawn’s concern since I was eager to try my hands at this… Continue reading
We all know that simple passwords are dangerous. If you’re using any of the following for passwords (or forms thereof), you probably aren’t as secure as you think:
Did I catch you? Well, it gets even worse!
Even if you’re not using any of the above, but are… Continue reading
I don’t know if you remember me complaining about having to grow new lawn about a dozen garden sites ago, but I’m still fighting that battle here in Ohio. I’m still trying to get my lawn to grow. I just put seed down and am watering it religiously in the sudden heat wave we’ve had. And so I went surfing on the net for something to point me in the… Continue reading
