New Tool for YouTube
Do you use YouTube quite often? Are you a YouTube member? Do you post videos on YouTube all the time? If you do, are you ever curious about who’s watching your videos? I mean, wouldn’t it be nice if you could see how many times your video is viewed and by who? If that’s something you might be interested in, there’s a new YouTube tool that can help you do just that! It’s called YouTube Insights and it gives you tons of information about the users who watch your videos, including their gender, age range, geographic location, how many times they’ve watched a certain video and much more. Let’s check it out!
YouTube Insights can help curb your curiosity about the kind of people who are viewing your videos, but it can also be helpful if you’re doing any kind of marketing or statistics work. With it, you can figure out what type of audience you’re attracting and what kind of content you need to keep them coming back for more!
To access YouTube Insights, simply log in to your YouTube account and click on the YouTube Insight link, which is located halfway down the page under the What’s New section.
You’ll then need to wait a few minutes for your data to load. Once it does, you’ll see that most of the data is in a graphic form. Below are a couple examples of what your data may look like.
These two are examples of what an Age Range graph looks like. They show you how many people from each age range watch your videos.
Below is an example of a Geographic Location graph. It basically tells you where the viewers who watch your videos are located.
Depending on how many videos you post and the types of videos you share, your data will vary from week to week. Also, keep in mind that you must have at least one video posted and someone has to view it in order to receive any feedback from YouTube Insights. I hope you have fun with this one!
