It looks like YouTube has started rolling out their new homepage features. These experimental changes add more real-time functionality, such as the ability to delete videos simply by putting your mouse pointer over it and clicking the “x”, and placing recent likes and favorites right on your homepage, so you can find them easily later on.
There’s more, too, but it’s much better if I just show you how to change over to the new format, so you can see for yourself. Don’t worry, it’s really easy to switch back if you don’t like it.
First log into YouTube. Directly under the main ad-space you’ll see the “Try a different homepage” button. Click it.
On the next page, you’ll see a list of all the experimental features the new YouTube homepage employs. Click the Go for it button when you’re ready.
After that, you’ll be redirected to your new YouTube homepage. Poke around a bit and see if you like it. If you find that you like the old homepage better, click the Back to classic homepage link. It’s also located right under the main ad-space, so it shouldn’t be hard to find.
Easy to do, and non-committal, too! Give it a try today, YouTube users!
