Sure did need the tip about bells and lights to warn of your Caps Lock being
on.....my cat always sits on my lap when I'm at computer, but while typing, everything
starts coming up caps. Finally realized whenever the cat stretches or moves his
foot hits my Caps key. He will be disappointed with this tip....he thinks he
is a Computer Whiz!!

I had 3 "mydoom" virus' on myy new
XP machine.McAfee could not clean or delete them. i tried everything
i could think of to no avail.then i saw your computer tips dated
4 11 05 about this very subject. I followed your instructions and

My computer crashed and burned a year and half ago and I've been
totally out the loop technically speaking since the crash. A year
and half is a long time to wait for a computer,but I wanted what
I wanted and was willing to wait till I could have the system I
wanted. Now I'm back trying to catch up to all the technical advancements
that I have fallen behind in. Am I worried... No. Thanks to World
Start I know I'll be back on track in no time at all. World Start
helped me 5 years ago when I was a newbie and I know through your
website that I'll have alot of great info at my whim again.
BTW Your site has grown tremendously since I've been away. Kudo's to all who
contribute to one of the best informative sites on the web!!! It feels great
to be back home. :o)

i was sceptical about your notes when they
first came in but i read them, liked them and find now i look forward
greatly to them. you make it seem doable and your approach
is humorful, not at all pedantic...in short, just the ticket for
neophytes like me. My only complaint is that there aren't

Have gotten plenty of neat and useful tips....THANKS AGAIN.
The latest tip "Keep Your Folder View Constant" has cured a major case of "pain
in the rump" for me.
I have hundreds of files with hundreds of documents and it has always been that
PITR I told you about to constantly have to switch from thumbnails to a list.

Somewhile ago, I wrote you and asked for permission in publishing
your emails I received for my members to read and learn. You said
it was okay as long as I gave credit where credit ws due!
I never really thought about it very much until tonight. A member
of my (not-for-profit) community called me after we had spent an
hour in messenger chatting. This was the 1st real communication
I'd had with one of my oldest members.
He said he now helped on a forum with a website that had almost
10,000 members and he had me to thank for it.
I had no idea what he was talking about
until he mentioned what he had learned through my "Computers 101" area
of my site.
I suppose you can say that my site became better because I offered
some classes taught by you at WorldStart.
I have no idea if my small messages brought
any business to you or not, but I hope in some small way, I've
been able to repay you for your valuable emails. I not only have
learned more to make my actual job easier, but it seems I've
been able to pass along your knowledge to others.
