I've found the most ergonomically correct mouse on the planet! The Sky Vertical Optical Mouse is gonna be your wrist's new best friend.

With this baby - you can help to eliminate that wrist strain that so many of us suffer from after hours of use on our computer!!

Yes, most mice do have some sort of curved design that make them "look" ergonomic, but the truth is - those curves don't do much to help prevent wrist strain. Don't believe me that? Just check out the video below:

Yup, as you can see this mouse supports your hand in a relaxed neutral position, almost as if you're reaching out to shake someone's hand. The grip is the same as with an ordinary mouse... simply turned sideways, so your wrist is comfortable.

I know you're thinking...this thing looks awkward, so there's gotta be some sort of learning curve involved. Nope - the buttons are operated by the same fingers as an ordinary mouse, so virtually no retraining is necessary. This mouse even has a fantastic three button design with a scroll wheel that acts as the third button!

This mouse is pure bliss for any wrist!

This optical mouse has got incredible tracking too! With the Sky Vertical Optical Mouse you get the best of both worlds - comfort and efficiency!!

Set up is a breeze too! With this mouse you have absolutely nothing to worry about because it is truly plug and play. There is nothing to install! Just plug this bad boy into any USB port and you're good to go!!

Heck, I saw other optical vertical mice online selling for over $80!! The comfort must be worth that price, but here at WorldStart we were able to score you one heck of a deal!

Your cost is just $10.97 and US shipping is FREE!!! We've only got 80 of these available, so you'll want to sprint to the store to grab yours before they're gone! Don't say I didn't warn you!!

You Won't Believe The Deal!

THE Hottest Item We've Ever Seen!

WOW!! This is SOOOO exciting! We just found your computer's new BEST FRIEND!! You are absolutely gonna LOVE this - It's the BAFO File Transfer Cable and it's totally gonna change your computing world - FOREVER! It's the ONE accessory EVERY computer user positively MUST-HAVE!!

See, we've heard about you and it's no secret - You need to get files from one computer to another! Only problem is getting the files from one place to another can be as frustrating as riding your bike across the Grand Canyon!

I mean, don't you just hate it when...

6 You get a brand new machine and your photos, music, and documents are all trapped on your old computer
5 You have a desktop and a laptop but sharing files between them is a complete nightmare
4 You and a friend want to swap files, but there just isn't an easy way
3 You have more than one computer in the house, and you'd like to get files from one to the other

Bottom line - You're gonna need to get files from one computer to another sooner or later!

Sure there's lots of ways to do it - and they all fall under "hard and miserable"! You could spend your afternoon burning CDs, emailing the files to yourself (please tell me you don't do that), or grabbing an Ethernet cable and networking the computers together.

7

Yeah, that didn't sound very good to me either. Come ON! Your time is WAY more valuable than that!! Right?

Join us here in this decade doin' it the EASY WAY...

Grab the amazing BAFO File Transfer Cable! It effortlessly networks your two computers together with just a cable - all automatic!

I looked up the word "easy" in the dictionary and I think I saw a picture of the BAFO File Transfer Cable!

How's it work?

Simple! Just plug one end into each computer's USB port - you're over half way done! That's right - if you can use a USB plug - YOU'RE already an expert! EASY!

Oh, and you'll absolutely love this - once you plug in, a friendly "Windows Explorer" style window automatically pops open so you can quickly drag and drop your files from one computer to another! That's really it! So easy it ought to be illegal!

YESSSSS!! This is works back and forth with everything from Win 98 right up to Windows 7 - talk about great compatibility!!!

1

Now, please note that these are USB 1.1, but no worries - this baby will get the job done! If you have just a handful of files you want transfered, this will take no time at all. If you have some larger files, you can just start the transfer and go grab a cup of coffee or lunch and all your files should be transfered when you return.

Without a DOUBT - this is the one accessory NO computer user should be without! Just imagine - next time you need to transfer documents, loads of photos, tons of music - it can all be done with this little cable! Oh, and you are in for a real TREAT when you upgrade to your next computer! You know ALL those files you need to get from one machine to another? Yup, use this cable, sit back, and relax! It's done baby!!

You and I BOTH know you've gotta be crazier than an outhouse rat to sit there trying to copy all your data to CDs or flash drives - or worse - trying to network two computers together just to get your data moved!

If you're ever, in your life, going to buy another computer YOU need this!! Heck, if you're ever going to transfer a batch of files from one computer to another you need this!

Best computer accessory. EVER.

PLUS...

YOU get a deal so smokin' hot you should need a permit from the fire dept.!

Today only, you can get this for just $8.97 and US shipping is FREE! Oh, and take it from me - once you get your hands on this bad boy you'll be patting yourself on the back for grabbin' it!! It's THAT good!

http://store.worldstart.com/product/6453

A word of warning though - this was a VERY limited quantity buyout, so once these are gone, we can't get more. Don't get left out in the cold - GRAB this deal today

Computers 101

Tyler S. asks:

With all of the work that I do on my computer, a friend of mine says that I could benefit enormously if I used the Quick Launch toolbar. What is it and how do I use it? I have Windows XP.

A:
Tyler, I personally wouldn’t even like being on my computer without the Quick Launch Toolbar. It sounds like you are on the computer a lot, so you are smart to ask about it!

The Quick Launch toolbar is just what it sounds like: it is an option on the taskbar (the bar that runs along the bottom of your screen) that you can use if you want to launch tasks (programs, applications, files, etc.) quickly.

Here’s a screenshot of the taskbar without the Quick Launch toolbar:

And here’s a screenshot with the Quick Launch toolbar:

Anytime you click on one of those icons on the taskbar (Quick Launch toolbar) the program comes right up; you don’t have to go to your Desktop or Start Menu.

That’s what the Quick Launch toolbar is/does. If the icons aren’t there, then that means the Quick Launch toolbar is not enabled. So how do you add it to the taskbar?

First, right-click in any blank area of your taskbar and an option menu will pop up. One of the options is Toolbars. Point to Toolbars to highlight it and then click Quick Launch to put a check mark by it.

Since we had two open programs, they will now be to the right of the Quick Launch toolbar. If you want to move them down and don’t know how, click here

Here’s the final result:

Now you can check your mail a lot quicker than before!

Hope this helped, and thanks for writing!

MS Office 2010: The New Face of WordArt

On Monday we took a look at the new Text Effects button in Word 2010. It’s awesome and it definitely can make it easy to get that WordArt look with any text super quickly.

But what are we going to find when we actually do go to the Insert tab on the Ribbon and click the WordArt button?

It’s a good question so I went in search of the answer.

Tip of the Day

Special Note -
This is the third of a 5 part series entitled, "What The Heck Is Inside My Computer?" This series is designed to give you an idea of exactly what the major parts of your computer are, what they do, and what they look like. Hey, we'll even hook some of 'em up for you so you can see how simple do-it-yourself upgrades can be.

To get the most from this series, make sure you watch the included videos. We did this series with the idea that the videos would be the main attraction, so that's where you'll find most of the information and demos. OK, ready to go?

What The Heck Is Inside My Computer? - Part 3 - Don't Forget The RAM!

OK, I'm going to have to be careful here. I could write a book about all the intricacies of RAM (speed, types, size etc), but for our purposes, we need to first set our focus to what RAM actually is - and why gobs of it nestled inside your computer will make your life oh-so-much better. So, I'll sum it up in one little sentence:

RAM is fast, temporary storage used by your computer for active programs, files, and your operating system. Check out the video to actually see what it looks like and where it lives inside your PC.

That' really all you need to know, however, if you want to dig in a little deeper, read on...

Celtic Europe

I'm taking the History of England this semester, and our text book made the Celts sound so interesting that I really just wanted to learn more about them. So I went hunting for anything I could find and found this site.

I was so impressed with what was provided on this site that I really wanted to share it with you. You’ll find navigation is easy: just follow the jump links under the table of contents, or scroll down the page.

You'll learn about their past, their language, and their mythology. You can also learn about the Welsh Days of the Week and what you should or shouldn't do on them.

There are also links to more information if you want to learn even more than you did here!

Bad News For XP Users!

You Can't Upgrade To Windows 7!

Well, You CAN - But...

You'll LOSE Your Programs - And Your Files Are "Relocated"!

We Have A Solution - And It ROCKS!

Upgrade To Win 7 - And KEEP Your Programs And Files!

Jaw-Droppin' Deal - It's Crazy Not Top Grab This One!

Well, this is disturbing...

OK, you would LOVE to upgrade your XP computer (or Vista) to Windows 7 - After all, Win 7 is much more secure, easier to use, and is without question the best version of Windows ever. Heck, it's had record-breaking sales with 150 MILLION copies sold - that's seven copies a SECOND since its release!

Only one problem - if you're running Windows XP, you can't really upgrade to Windows 7. (And Vista users even have issues - see the site for a chart)

Sure, you can buy an "upgrade" disk, but none of your files or programs will make it to Windows 7. It's a new install, not a true upgrade - you know, the kind where you keep everything.

Kind of a "you can't get there from here" deal.

OK, you technically get to keep your files - but that doesn't even work right!

See, once you're upgraded, your files aren't where you'd expect them to be! You look under My Documents, but - hey - it's empty!

Instead, the Win7 installer dumped them in a folder called "windows.old" in the root directory of your boot drive - yeah, good luck finding what you're looking for! Oh, and then it's up to you to restore them to where they belong.

Then there's your software - Think all those program you rely on every day are going to survive the upgrade?

HA! Sorry, they're toast.

You'll have to reinstall each and every program - hope you still have all the CDs and download files (I know I don't).

Just think - hours and hours of rifling through boxes and drawers hunting for CDs, searching for registration codes, downloading updates, negotiating with publishers that you really DID buy their product - yeah, sounds like a real blast...

Should only take you a few weeks to get things back to normal. If you can.

Oh, and forget any ideas of just copying the folders your software is in to the new operating system - that never works - too many support files are scattered around Windows. In fact, nine times out of ten the program won't even run. And the tenth program runs, but doesn't work right.

Hmm... Maybe this upgrade thing wasn't such a hot idea after all...

Laplink To The Rescue!

They have an amazing program called PCMover Windows 7 Upgrade Assistant and it's going to save your day (and your sanity)! This incredible software does what Microsoft refuses to - and it's made SPECIFICALLY for moving from XP or Vista to Windows 7!

It allows you to upgrade to Windows 7...

AND keep your FILES and SOFTWARE intact and where you'd expect to find them!

How cool is that?????

And it's SOOOOOOO easy!

Let's say you purchased your copy of Windows 7 Upgrade and you're ready to take the plunge. It's a quick 3 step process:

1. Simply insert the Windows 7 Upgrade Assistant disk and follow a few steps on the easy to use wizard.

2. Next, pop your new Windows 7 CD in when prompted and install.

3. Once Windows 7 is ready to go, pop your Upgrade Assistant CD back in, and restore your software and files!

It's that easy!

We tested this, and let me tell ya - it just plain WORKS!

It's so easy...

After the first couple screens, it will ask you about the files you want to migrate - you just uncheck anything you don't want! If there's stuff you don't need anymore, just uncheck it. If it missed something (say, a file you keep in a weird folder someplace), you can manually add it!

Another screen or two brings you to software. You'll get a list of software you can migrate over - and what's really cool is that YOU get to pick and choose which programs follow you over to Windows 7! So, if there's a few you never use anymore, just leave 'em unchecked! It's like a clean-up and move all at once!

From there, it backs up your files and data, you install Windows 7, then reinsert your PCMover Upgrade Assistant CD and restore ALL your stuff! Files will be where you expect to find them and your software will survive the trip too - all ready for your next command!

You'll be rockin' Windows 7 - and have all your stuff too!

Instead of days or even weeks, you'll be good to go in an hour or so!

Oh, and I'm not the only one who thinks this is fantastic. Look at the rave reviews!
