Hey Look! It's an MP3 Player!

No, It's a Camera...

No, It's a Video Player...

No, It's a Photo Viewer...

No, It's a Video Recorder...

No, It's an E-Book Reader...

No, It's an FM Tuner/Recorder...

No, It's a Webcam...

GUESS WHAT? IT'S ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Up to 12GB of Expandable Media Madness!

And It Fits Right in Your Pocket!

This isn't an identity crisis, it's an identity EXTRAVAGANZA! If you have ONE portable media device, it's probably already part of this incredible Ematic 4GB MP3/Video Player with 5 Megapixel Camera!

And really, calling it an MP3 player or a camera is so unfair, it's more like a 4GB Do Everything-er. (That's gotta be a real word!)

Everything you'd EVER want in a portable device all wrapped up in one neat little package. You've NEVER seen anything quite like it!

First off, it's a 2.4" display that only LOOKS like an ordinary camera! That's PERFECT... because when you get down to it, cameras have a pretty impressive design, right? Think about it, we've been using that SAME design for decades... they don't fix what isn't broken!

Smooth simplicity.

Photos and Videos!

With a 5 Megapixel built-in camera, you'll ALWAYS be ready to take the perfect picture. Plus it's designed like one, so you're gonna know how to use it immediately!

Or maybe you want to record some video? Easy! You can record up to 25 HOURS of videos with the expandable storage. And it even comes with cool effects!

It even PLAYS videos. Show off your own recordings, or transfer videos from your PC to watch wherever you go. Supporting AVI, MP4, and FLV, whatever video you have, you can probably bring it with you.

It's a webcam too! Seriously, this thing does it all. Hook it up to your PC and activate the webcam mode and you've got yourself one little do-it-all device that'll have your socks blown off.

No need for a bulky camera or webcam ever again!

MP3 Music Player!

As you would expect with any MP3 player, this thing can store so much music for you and playing it back is easy. It supports pretty much any audio file you'll have, from MP3 to WMA.

You don't even need headphones to enjoy your music. The built-in speakers let you share your tunes with anyone.

The standard device stores up to 4GB. And if that's not enough, you can pop in a microSD card of up to 8GB to expand that to a whopping 12GB of storage!

That's a lot of music, pictures, or video.

Prefer the radio? No problem! Just activate the radio and find a station! It's quick, it's easy, it's awesome!

Plus, the record button lets you record your favorite broadcast to listen to whenever you want!

Doing everything never looked so easy.

Extra Features!

We aren't even done yet! This baby is packed FULL of useful or fun extras that'll blow you away.

Pocket Library - With an eBook and TXT reader, you can bring a bookshelf worth of reading material with you.

Voice Recorder - Record notes or important information at the touch of a button! Make sure you never forget anything again.

External Speaker - Listen to your favorite songs without needing headphones!

Accessories - With the included headphones, you'll save money and effort from not having to buy anything extra. You'll get tons of use out of the USB 2.0 cable getting all your favorite music and videos onto the Ematic MP3 player.

Heck, it even comes with its own cleaning cloth so your screen stays as pristine as when you first got it.

Free software! Take advantage of Arcsoft's video downloader to save videos right off the web! Also included is Ematic's own video conversion software to make sure your videos will play on your amazing new MP3 device.

This MP3 player does it all! Calling it an MP3 player is kind of unfair too. They just don't even have a NAME for a device like this that does EVERYTHING!

Ready for this eye-popping price? At the incredibly low price of $32.97 with FREE US SHIPPING, you can have it all, right in your hands.

Computers 101

Want Windows 7 instead of Windows 8?

If you are like me you’ve become quite attached to Windows 7. The interface is familiar, but it’s functional and does most of what I need it to do. However, Microsoft has decided to change a lot of how Windows works by removing the start button and switching to the Windows 8 interface which is optimized for touchscreen and multi-touch trackpads.

So what do you now if you want to buy a new computer and it comes with Windows 8? Microsoft has an answer for you. Get the Pro version of Windows 8 and you’ll be allowed to use your license key to downgrade to Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Make sure you get Pro though because you won’t be able to pay Microsoft later for the downgrade rights if you have the regular version of Windows 8 installed by the manufacturer.

Now this process won’t be as easy as just clicking a downgrade button, as you will need to fully install Windows 7 (along with finding drivers and software for your computer), but it does provide an option for those of us unwilling to make the switch to Windows 8.

This Apple Fell Far From The Tree

From The Archives

Thom, from Dallas asks:

Why do Word and Excel files get so large when the content is so small? As I make numerous changes and saves to a Word file, the file becomes bloated over time. If I open the large Word file and copy (Ctrl-C) and paste the content to a newly created word document, the file size can increase by up to 80%. Is there a setting that will stop Word from keeping all that junk and bloating my files?

There are numerous factors that can increase the file size of Word documents. Excessive pictures, stylish fonts, and different formats are among them. In general, the more content you add into the document, the larger it will be. Fortunately, there are things you can do to prevent the final file size of your Word documents from becoming too large.

Step 1: Insert Pictures Instead of Copying Pasting.

Today's Feature

Photoshop Elements: The Basics

I love free stuff, but there are two programs that we’ve always purchased for our home computers; Microsoft Office, and Photoshop Elements. This is not because they’re better than their free counterparts but, over the years, a certain familiarity has developed. Also, they each represent the industry standard, so a working knowledge can be an asset.

Photoshop Elements is the bare-bones version of Photoshop. While it’s more limited than its big brother–in addition to simple photo editing–it offers many of the more complex features found in the larger program, and the similarities between the two make the transition from one to the other (relatively) easy. As a result, since many employers require some Photoshop skills—as long as those requirements don’t include a thorough knowledge of the more elaborate full version–experience with Elements may be enough to help land a position (it’s worked for me). An additional reason to consider Elements is its price, which is roughly 10%–15% the cost of Photoshop. If you’d like to take it for a test drive, download the free trial here.

Neverending Playlist

.Sometimes I’m just in the mood to listen to one artist, rather than a mixed playlist. When I don’t have access to the music program we use at home, I like to head over to Neverending Playlist, where I can play free, streaming music via YouTube for the artist I want to hear without having to go to YouTube and wade through videos.

So how does it work? Really simply, actually. Just type in the artist you want to hear (if there is more than one a list will drop down to let you select the one you want) and then you’ll be whisked away to the artist page where the music will start streaming.

You have the option to Play, Pause, and Skip songs too. And if you really like a song and want to hear it again, just drag the play line above where the video is displayed back to the beginning of the song.

You can also queue up the next artist you want to hear by selecting one from the similar artists that appear in the bottom right corner, or typing in the name of the next artist or band you want to hear in the Who’s Next? blank.

Then when you’ve listened through the playlist for the first artist, it will go to your next choice. I love this option to build a playlist that lasts as long as you need it too! It really can be never ending!

A Disastrous Security Blunder Is In Your Future...

UNLESS You Know The Material In This Brilliant, Cutting-Edge Book!

Security Advice So Potent It Brings Viruses, Hackers, And Scammers

TO THEIR KNEES!!

OH WOW! We're so excited!

Steve and Gary have an absolutely incredible new E-Book that's going to rock the entire Internet - WorldStart's Internet Security Survival Guide - and it's finally ready to go!

Everyone loves their computers - but very few realize how devastatingly DANGEROUS things can get when that PC is compromised and turned against you!

And it happens to people just like you EVERY DAY!!

millfall

The threats just keep piling up - hackers, viruses, malware, spyware, scammers, phishing attacks, compromised public WiFi, over the shoulder attacks, router attacks, password crackers, compromised software, outdated operating systems, firewall breaches, browser hijacking, malicious web sites, dangerous pop-ups, cross site scripting, e-mail hacking, virus hoaxes, deadly file attachments, compromised personal information, stolen data from old computers, hijacked HOSTS files, spoofed file extension tricks, autorun viruses, ransomware, infested freeware - well, you get the idea!

Do you know how to protect yourself from ALL of the threats listed above?why
If you don't, I can PROMISE this...
It's not a matter of IF you become a victim - it's truly a matter of WHEN!

They always say, "What you don't know can't hurt you." Well, here in the Internet age, the opposite is true:

What you don't know CAN and WILL hurt you - probably severely!

Millions of people who didn't think it could happen to them fall victim EVERY DAY - simply because they didn't KNOW there was a threat! That's CRAZY. In fact, it's not just a little crazy, it's "Trying-To-Jump-The-Grand-Canyon-With-A-Bicycle" INSANE!

Especially when it's SOOOO easy to avoid the problems in the first place IF you know what the threats are AND how to avoid them!

Bottom line - You need to know exactly what dangers lurk around the dark corners of the internet - or you WILL be the next victim! You absolutely, positively MUST know HOW you can get attacked and HOW to defend yourself!

And THAT'S why we created this absolutely fantastic new E-Book!

Our breakthrough 430 page e-book will teach you all the tips, tricks, and techniques you need to steer clear of the bad guys!

Everything we know about Internet and PC security is IN THIS BOOK!

PLUS - we've written this in a way EVERYONE can understand! Each and every chapter is written in fun, easy to read language that you'll discover is REALLY SIMPLE to follow! We even have loads of pictures and illustrations!

saved

Finally!
You don't need a degree in Computer Science to stay safe anymore - our incredible new book will take you there!

I know there's a few people out there crazy enough to think:

"There's nothing of value on my computer, I have nothing to hide, so I don't care if someone gets in or I get a virus."

Music to a hacker's EARS! The bad guys rely on IGNORANCE in order to attack your PC! They rely on people who think that there's nothing of value on their computer - and NOTHING could be further from the truth!

happyhack

Even a computer with nothing but a fresh Windows install is a juicy target!

If your computer is compromised - either by a hacker or malware (viruses, rogueware, spyware, etc) any of the following can happen:

arrow Your identity is stolen (easier than you think - we spill the beans)
arrow Your credit card information is stolen
arrow Your bank account is compromised
arrow Your friends e-mail addresses are stolen - then attacked
arrow Any documents are fair game and can be used for identity theft
arrow Files or entire drives can be deleted - all your music, photos, etc - GONE!
arrow Your computer can be turned into a server for adult sites
arrow Your computer can be used to commit fraud - and YOU take the blame
arrow Your computer can be used as an illegal attack "zombie"
arrow Your computer may be held ransom until you pay up - happens 35 MILLION times a month!
arrow You will be blasted with non-stop pop-ups
arrow Your computer will be inoperable to the point of needing an expensive overhaul

scared

And that's only the TIP of a very dangerous iceberg!

So, yeah, it IS a big deal if you get compromised. In addition, if your computer is used for illegal purposes by the hacker the feds could come knocking on YOUR door - not theirs.

Oh - and just think how expensive it would be to take your computer to a shop to get it working again - all because YOU didn't know what's in our life-saving e-book!

We want to show you how to recognize and avoid the pitfalls that MILLIONS of people fall victim to each and every day. You know - the people who never thought it would happen to them.

This includes a whoppin' 54 chapters that will launch you into the security stratosphere! By the time you finish reading this incredible book, you'll have your computer locked down so tight the folks over at Fort Knox will come to YOU looking for advice!

glad

We've divided the book into 9 sections and there's a VERY brief outline below. But...

PLEASE keep in mind you're only seeing a small FRACTION of the information that's jam-packed into this breakthrough book!!!
There's another 85% of the book we haven't even hinted at below! WOW!

When it comes to attacking your computer, there are no shortage of tools at the disposal of the bad guys! Do you REALLY know how to stay safe? This section will show you the threats - and how to avoid them! We show you how to set up your computer to guard against all types of malicious software - viruses, spyware, adware, rogueware, ransomware - we show you the software and techniques you need to block it ALL!

Oh, and just wait till you see the free anti-malware titles and amazing firewall we've discovered!

1

Everyone loves to use their laptops with public WiFi. Hey, what could be better than sitting down in your hotel room, at an airport, or coffee shop and logging on for some free Internet?

Well, hackers LOVE these places too - only it's your data they're after! If you don't know ALL the dangers of public WiFi, you're in BIG trouble.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say if you don't know what we have in our book you probably shouldn't even be using public WiFi - EVER! It's FAR more dangerous than most people realize!

Your accounts can get compromised, your passwords stolen, and your e-mail intercepted - and that's just for starters. Identity theft, attacks on your friends / contacts are ALL possible - AND probable!

Oh, yeah - and the hacker doesn't even need to break into your computer to pull this off! He just logs onto the wireless network and goes to work with software that can "spy" on you!

We'll show you how he does it - and how YOU can stay safe!

1

The online world is a dangerous place - from scams, to hijacking, to malicious pops-ups, to fraud - there's a lot of ways to trip and fall out there! You need to know how to tell the good from the bad, how to spot phishing scams, online scams, and con artists. You need to know how to properly set up your browser, how to stay safe on Facebook, how to respond to malicious pop-up windows, how to deal with cookies, and more!

A lack of knowledge in ANY of the areas above is a guarantee for trouble down the road. And that's a HUGE problem! All it takes is one scam, one vicious pop-up, or one drive-by infection to compromise your data, ruin your computer, and get your identity stolen - what you DON'T know WILL hurt you

Oh, this is HUGE - this chapter ALONE is worth the price of the entire book! We reveal all the pitfalls people make when setting and using passwords - and show you how to avoid 'em!

Knowing the difference between a strong password and a typical password is the difference between getting your accounts hacked or staying secure.

We also talk about how you handle passwords in general. If you don't know the critical 7 steps we outline in this book even the strongest of passwords are at risk! Getting your accounts hacked can RUIN your life in ways you've never even thought of!

What happens if a hacker breaks into your bank account? Or your credit card account? Or heck - even your Amazon account? Talk about a nightmare! Our passwords section gives you the key to minimizing your risk!

It takes less than 30 minutes to compromise an unsecured computer connected to the Internet. There are thousands of hackers out there scanning for weaknesses right now - you're likely getting scanned dozens of times a day - you could be getting scanned even as you read this!

Is your home network set up properly or are you about to be the next statistic? Make sure you know for sure with our book!

We're going to show you how to lock down your home network - your router, your wired network, your wireless network - everything. We'll show you how to set the right encryption on your wireless, how to make sure your firewall is engaged properly, and even how to name your network to avoid getting personally targeted for a WiFi attack.

E-mail is literally the door to your digital world. A compromise here - by either a hacker or malware program - can be devastating! If there's ONE place you need to be safe, it's when you deal with your e-mail!

Just think - what would happen if someone had access to your e-mail account? Chances are they could easily piece together enough information about you to steal your identity (just think of all the items in your inbox, sent items box, and outbox). In addition, every private account you have online - your bank, credit cards, Amazon, Paypal, etc ALL use e-mail to recover passwords. If the bad guy has your e-mail account, he can be in ALL your accounts in a matter of MINUTES!

You DO NOT want your e-mail compromised - and we're going to show you how to keep it locked down tight. Everything you need to know to set the right kind of password, avoid scams, and KEEP IT PRIVATE!

This is the fun section! We have a LOAD of general safety tips designed to help you keep safe in all your online endeavors. We'll show you a "secret" file you can use to prevent your computer from ever seeing another malicious site. We'll show you how to properly dispose of an old hard drive. We'll show you how to avoid "bad" freeware. We'll show you how to avoid ransomware. And that's just for starters!

There's a literally TRUCKLOAD of advice in this section that'll help keep you super-secure and safe!

And that's just a small sample of what we're going to cover!

jampacked

In addition to the sections above, there's also a section on why the bad guys are after you and what they can do if they get access to your PC. We also cover just what to do if you get infected - and 6 easy step to follow for getting uninfected! Our book also includes tips for keeping your computer physically safe from theft - after all, if your computer gets stolen, what's the point of the rest of the security?

Finally, we've also included a glossary to help with the terms found throughout the book and 20 of our favorite FREE security-related programs! The money you save on commercial software will pay for this book 20X over!

Whew - this is BY FAR the most important book ANY computer user will ever read!

We've looked around - and there isn't anything like this anywhere! Amazingly enough, finding a traditional book on computer security is almost impossible - and when you DO find one, it's written in such a technical manner you'd need a degree in Computer Science to figure the thing out!

This innovative new book is TRULY unprecedented! It's easy to read, packed with pictures, screen shots, and illustrations, and hey - we even try to make the whole thing entertaining! You'll BLAST through the material and before you know it everyone will be coming to YOU for advice on computer security!

clv

Your cost? Get this - we're almost giving this away! Just $6.97 and you get an immediate download! How cool is that? You could be browsing the pages of this e-book in a matter of MINUTES! Oh - and no special reader required either - it's a standard PDF file that can be read with the free Adobe Reader!

HURRY! Grab your copy of this indispensable book now for just $6.97!

PS - Anyone who thinks they don't need this information and that an attack "won't happen to them" is living a lie. It's like not wearing a seatbelt because "so far" you've never been in a bad accident.

Bottom line - If you're using the Internet and you don't know the information we outline in our e-book, then it's not a matter of IF you'll get compromised - it's simply a matter of WHEN.

Don't Surf The Internet Without It!

It's time for some desktop fall color! Unfortunately, I didn't much in the way of fall color last season, so I'm featuring some images from previous years that were really popular. Enjoy!

Fall Cascades In The Smokies

Sometimes the good shots aren’t where you think they are. It was autumn in the Smoky Mountains. If you’ve never been there in the fall, you can be forgiven for thinking it’s a quiet, peaceful time of year when the tourists have flown home and you have the place to yourself. Nope, it’s a zoo. I think fall is actually ...(More)

This was taken on one of my week-long trips to Yellowstone National Park. When I first arrived and drove by this stand of trees next to the river, I knew there was a shot there – but the trees weren’t “ripe” enough yet, if you know what I mean. So, each day, I’d drive by an (More)
