Quick Tip

Quick Access To Task Manager

Windows Task Manager allows you to close unresponsive programs, view performance and memory usage, and determine what’s truly running in the background.

Want a quick way to open Task Manager?

Here are two really fast methods:

#1 Right click on an empty area of the task bar and click Start Task Manager

#2 Hold down the Ctrl Key, Shift Key and Esc key at the same time. This combination of keys will launch the task manager for you and is especially useful if your mouse stops responding and you need to reboot your computer.

Over the years we've tested a lot of wireless headphones, and all I can say is that these are so VASTLY superior to ANY others we've tried, that it isn't even close! If you think I'm excited about these, you're absolutely right! Let me tell you why...

Imagine sitting out back relaxing on your patio in a lawn chair, listening to your favorite songs playing on the stereo that's inside the house!

You can even get up and walk around and still be listening to your music - all in total comfort and style!

Even better - you can use these with your TV too! Listen to your favorite movie or program, AS LOUD AS YOU WANT - without disturbing a sing person in your home!

Oh - these aren't your average wireless headphones either!

They are a 4-in-1 Wireless Headphone kind of deal! Just check out all these babies can do...

Wireless Headphones (works with any MP3 player, iPod, stereo, even most TVs!!)

Wireless FM Radio (built into the headphones)

Wireless Internet Chat Microphone (the base has a mic built in!!!)

Wired Noise Reduction Headphones

Listen In Private While You Listen In Comfort!

These have so many uses!
Just imagine...

Watching and listening to the TV - without waking or disturbing your spouse EVER AGAIN!! You'll never hear the words, "Honey, can you turn that down?" EVER AGAIN!

You could be mowing the lawn while listening to your favorite FM radio station...maybe catching the ball game!

If you get restless late at night and can't sleep and want to jump on the computer and listen to some videos on the Internet or even watch TV...no problem!

Heck, going to the fridge to grab a snack and you don't even need to take off your headphones! Ahhh...the freedom to roam without being tied down to the computer or stereo by a cord!

These wireless headphones will give you incredible sound all without disturbing anyone around you!

Wireless HeadphonesWhen you take these out of the box you're gonna be amazed! They LOOK & FEEL so rich!

The earpieces have a soft, cushy feel to them. Even the band that rests on the top of your head is covered by the same soft, luxurious, padded covering!

Before I even plugged them in, I had to try them on to see how they felt - boy these are SO incredibly comfortable! And they're incredibly lightweight to top it off - I couldn't believe it! You can walk around with these on all day and never get tired of them!

And as far as the sound goes, these headphones sound IMPECCIBLY CRYSTAL CLEAR!!

When you turn these on, oh my goodness...you're NOT gonna believe what you hear!

They sound as rich as they feel! And the volume - let's just say that you can really crank these up if you want to conveiniently on the earcup. No tinny, thin sound here! These have a strong, robust sound that just surrounds you in music and quality sound!

These 4-in-1 Wireless Headphones provide you with Hi-Fidelity Multimedia Entertainment!

Oh and by the way, you can use these wireless headphones with just about ANY audio device - an mp3 player, CD or DVD player, your computer, game player, radio, and your TV! You don't need a separate set of headphones to work with each piece of audio equipment...this does it all in comfort, style and with the convenience of being wireless!

And the price that we're giving to you is absolutely INSANE!

When I first saw these, I thought these were $70-80 headphones...easy! I mean these are Hi-Fidelity, noise reduction with a strong signal output that allows you to roam up to an incredible 50 feet with a clear signal!

Well, I have to be honest with you...we fell into an unbelievable deal with one of our suppliers, so And rather than charge what these should really go for, we thought we're passing along the HUGE savings to you!

Right-Click Encrypter: Hassle-Free File Encryption

Have you ever wanted a simple utility to encrypt a file, ensuring that it’s password-protected? Not everyone needs national, high-strength encryption enabled by a complex piece of software. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a simple right-click option to encrypt and decrypt a file, simply by typing in the password?

Right-Click Encrypter is the answer. This simple utility can be downloaded by clicking here, and once you unzip and run the installer, the operation could not be simpler. Right-click on any file you want to encrypt, and you’ll see a new option in the menu called “Encrypt with “Right-Click Encrypter.” Click on it.

A window will pop up asking you to type in a new password, and then, verify the password by re-typing it in the second box. Once you click encrypt, your file will be encrypted and show a small safe logo.

To decrypt the file, you can either double-click it or right-click and choose “Decrypt with Right-Click Encrypter.” A dialog box will open asking you to type in the password and click decrypt. Your file will not be decrypted.

What’s not to love? Well, since it doesn’t use an advanced encryption method, I would recommend it for people trying to keep prying eyes out of files they shouldn’t be seeing. However, for more secure, extremely sensitive information, or encryption required by law, I’d recommend looking at TrueCrypt. This is an open-source encryption program which supports very advanced, military-grade encryption.

On The Move

Jeremy from Santa Ana, CA writes: I am upgrading my iPhone and have many network passwords saved for all the Wi-Fi hotspots I’ve visited in the past. How can I move all those saved network passwords from my old iPhone to my new one?

Hi, Jeremy.  Thanks for the great question.

I’m an Android guy.  For my money, there’s not a lot to like about iPhones (no expandable storage, limited number of apps), but one thing that I’ve always been jealous of is the ease of backing up an iPhone to iTunes or the cloud.  For an iCloud backup, simply turn iCloud on and then choose which items you want to back up.

Clean Your LCD Screen

I’ve gotten a couple of questions recently concerning the upkeep of LCD screens. Those flat-panel beauties are a joy to look at, for sure, but once the power is turned off all sorts of streaks, smudges and other detritus appear. How is one to keep their super-cool, modern monitor looking its best without permanently damaging it with harsh chemicals?

Does Dust Really Damage Computers?

I’ve Always Wanted To Know:

Does Dust Really Damage Computers?

Answer:

Have you ever been told that if you don’t keep your computer clean, you’ll damage it? Can dust and dirt really hurt a computer, or is this an old tech tale? If it does cause damage, how and what can you do to prevent it? Furthermore, are there any signs of damage and is any of it repairable?

So can dust really damage your computer? The simple answer is: Yes. Dust and debris primarily causes damage to your computer by interfering with fans and functioning as insulation, causing your computer to heat up. High levels of heat can cause early failure of components, and excessive, intense heat can cause critical components to fail unexpectedly. Dust can also interfere with the electrical connections on ports and connections, causing erratic results.

Winter Gardening

Did you know you can still garden in the winter? I didn’t, but then again, I don’t have much of a green thumb and I own cats who like to destroy plants.

This is a very straightforward site on winter gardening. Navigation is easy as all the content is contained right on the main page, with external links of support information for each topic collated for you.

The page is divided up into four sections, they are:

Benefits of Having a Winter Garden – here you’ll learn about the economical, emotional, and physical benefits of gardening in the winter.

Plants for a Winter Garden – here you’ll learn what you can grow during the winter months. Check out the different kinds of plants here.

Flowers and Food for the Winter Garden – this section talks about the different flowers and food you can grow during the winter.

Tips and Advice for Winter Gardening – this is where you’ll find an assortment of tips and tricks, as well as advice for winter gardening. This section also includes an awesome PDF file  called the Winter Garden Calendar that you can download with advice for growing between December and February.

I can’ t wait to pass this site along to my mom and dad. They love gardening and could probably benefit from growing during the winter season as well as the summer.

You're Gonna Want These ALL OVER YOUR HOME!

Incredible Low-Profile AC Outlet Adapters!

Turn Outlets Sideways for EASIER USE!

And MULTIPLY Them For MORE SOCKETS!

You Know That Outlet...

Every home has one... it's the only remaining outlet, and you NEED to plug something in. But it's right behind the only place your couch fit (who DESIGNED these places?!) So now what?

You either pull out that couch a bit EVERY. TIME... or you pretend it doesn't exist and use an extension cord or a less convenient plug!

Wish there were a better way? THERE IS!

Just pop one of these guys on that outlet and now you've got 6 easy-to-use plugs!

So what makes THIS one so great?

Think about it...  outlets are all along the wall. Whenever you plug something in, the cord sticks STRAIGHT back into the room... now that's a tripping hazard. But even worse... if you have ANYTHING in front of the outlet...  you can't even USE it!

Plugs are a bulky, and it's SO ANNOYING to lose outlets just because you have furniture in front of them!

This adapter gives those outlets a 90 degree turn to face parallel with the wall! Now you can plug in ANYTHING, even if the outlet faces right into a couch or chair!

They're your outlets... use 'em!

And on top of that genius idea... it turns your standard two-outlets into a WHOPPING SIX! That's THREE TIMES THE OUTLETS!

Polar Bear Taking A Break

This lovely lady was wandering along the shores of Hudson Bay near Churchill, Canada when we spotted her from our Polar Rover. We quickly backed to her position - and she decided it was time to lay down and take a break! She would occasionally look around, check us out, lay her head down, look the other way, and so forth. So, we’d wait on the back of the Polar Rover (in -30F windchill) and ...(More)

Northern Lights Over The Inukshuk

My first Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) photo! This was taken by the inukshuk in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. (In case you haven’t guessed, the inukshuk is the big rock guy holding up the lights ). Here’s the story… We’d just arrived back from a day of Polar Bear photography on the tundra and...
