I’m sure that we all know how to attach a file to a message in MS Outlook, but did you know that you also attach an Outlook item?
Yep – that’s right, you can easily attach a calendar item, contact information, note, etc…
All those things you have in Outlook and aren’t sure how to share them are just as easily shared as any other file you might decide to attach.
Here’s how it works:
In older versions of Outlook you’ll need to the click the down-arrow of the Insert File button and choose Item.
For those with Outlook 2007, you’re looking for the Attach Item button on the Insert tab of the Ribbon.
Regardless of your version of Outlook you should be looking at the Insert Item dialog box.
As you can see, from here it’s a walk in the park to find and choose the item in Outlook that you want attached to your message.
When you select the name of a section of Outlook you’ll find that the available items are listed in the bottom half of the dialog box.
Find and select what you need and click OK.
Voila! Items that you formerly thought you had to copy and paste to include can now be sent easily with absolutely no hassles whatsoever.
