Paste Won’t Work
We all use the copy and paste method quite often, don’t we? I know I use it all the time here in the office. When I’m working on the newsletters and answering e-mails, I would be so lost without the copy and paste function. It would take me twice as long to do any of my work and I can tell you now, that would be the most frustrating thing ever!
So, we all may not want to think about the day when our copy and paste doesn’t work, but sometimes it happens. Why? Well, the main reason for it not working has such a simple fix! Half the time, when we’re trying to copy something, it doesn’t actually get copied. When you highlight the material you want to copy, you right click it and click Copy, right? Well, sometimes that click doesn’t go through like you thought it did. Either the mouse slips or you just didn’t get a good click. The same thing happens when you’re using the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V). Your finger either slips off the key or the keyboard just doesn’t record what you did.
When that happens, you go to Paste and you see that it’s not an option. You find that it is grayed out. So, what do you do now? Well, you’ll have to go back and copy everything again and just start over. That’s the only thing you really can do. I know it’s a pain, but it happens to all of us at one point or another. Don’t fret. Just be happy there’s an easy fix for it!
