Patent Monk is an awesome extension for your browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and I think Safari) for free!
It allows you to interact with patents in a way you never could before. You’ll be able to look at larger, interactive patent drawings, get previews of related patents, and check out summaries of related patents.
I suggest watching the video to get started. It runs just under three minutes long and does an excellent (read thorough) job of walking you through all the features. You can also scroll down the page and check out the featured learn more sections.
Want to try it first? Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Try a Limited Search option to interact with it before adding the extension.
After you’ve decided that you want to use this tool to check out patents, all you have to do is click the Get Started button and it will download the appropriated browser extension for your browser and then activate it with your e-mail address and click the Turn On button. Then check your e-mail address and click the confirmation link. This will load Patent Monk fully activated in a new tab.
Then you’ll get an e-mail welcoming you to Patent Monk. Over the next few days they’ll send you e-mails filled with tips and tricks to get the most out of your use of the engine.
This is the kind of site my dad would love, I hope you go check it out today!
