Web-based email users (AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo): be mindful of your attachment size. Hotmail, for instance, will only let you send 1MB or less. Yahoo raised theirs from 3MB to 10MB. AOL gives you a whopping 16MB. These limitations should allow most attachments to go through, but you should still check, especially if you are forwarding a message. Why can't you change your wallpaper? Keep reading to solve this problem. Also, find out how to spice up your screen saver. Be sure to check out this week's Security Alert and Amanda's Cool Site of the Day.

Q:
A: But... I get email all the time from folks who can't get the wallpaper to change. Why does this happen? It's an easy mistake to make. Probably, when you went to save a picture from the web to use as wallpaper, rather than choose "set as background" you slipped and selected "set as desktop item". This basically puts a web page or image over the top of your desktop wallpaper. What can you do about it? Uncheck anything in the white box that says "web pages" and uncheck "Lock Desktop Items".
Click OK then "Apply". Did it go away? If so, hit OK. Now you can change your wallpaper. ~ David Have

ME & XP Screen Saver Fun So, while we're in the Display Properties window, let's mess around with your boring screen saver! Just select the Screen Saver tab from the Display Properties window (you can obtain this by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting Properties). From there, you can select a screen saver and configure it exactly how you want it.
One of my favorites is the "My Pictures Slideshow." Once selected, you should click the Settings button to configure it.
You can adjust where it obtains the photos (default is your My Documents/My Pictures folder), how often it changes the pictures, and how big the pictures should be. ~ Steve If

Top Ten security flaws for Second Quarter 2005 I ran across SANS Institute's TOP TWENTY SECURITY FLAW list for the second quarter of 2005 and thought that it brought to light some good information. SANS releases these lists so that organizations and users can check the status of their systems to ensure all security holes or flaws are patched. The top twenty is really two smaller lists of ten. The two lists that I speak of are Windows flaws, and Linux/Unix flawssince we don't talk about Linux I'm just going to mention the Windows flaws. The list of Windows flaws isn't restricted to Windows products, but also 3rd party applications that work with the Operating System. So far in 2005 we have seen the normal slew of Microsoft exploits, for instance, MSN Messenger had a vulnerability with .png file types. Of course you have Internet Explorer that can't seem to keep out of the news with it's steady stream of exploits. Besides Microsoft, however, there were a lot of not so familiar faces. Symantec along with competitors F-Secure, Trend-Micro and McAfee, all had Buffer Overflow bugs that allowed attackers to remotely take control of your system and were taken advantage of. Other programs that made the list were popular media players and components such as iTunes, Real Player, Winamp, and Windows Media Player. FireFox, Mozilla's web browser, saw its share of security holes this quarter, which would be quite apparent given all the patches put out for the browser in the past three months. Even one of the Internet's major components, DNS (Domain Naming Service had ) had an exploit surface early in '05. There is certain criteria for making the top ten of a SANS Security list. Areas taken into consideration are things such as: how damaging was the security hole, how long on average do the systems stay compromised allowing attackers to take control of your PC, and all kinds of good stuff like that. There were 600 potential exploits in the the running and that's just for the first Quarter. So, keep in mind that you should really get used to updating not just Windows, but every application in your system. Updating is the only way to know if you have all the patches for a product, which in turn makes your system more secure. Stay safe out there, ~ Chad For the complete report,

My roommate is a tea aficionado, and through her love of tea, I've grown to understand and love the stuff myself. Although my earlier efforts were to drown it in sugar and cream, now I understand what a good cup of Jasmine with just a little bit of sugar is all about. Now I have many favorite teas, and I'd like to share my love of it with you by sharing this site. Here you will be able to browse the following sections: Resources, What is Tea, Tea's Origin, World of Tea, Preparation, Health Benefits, Article Archives, and Links. What is Tea? Well if you check out the "What is Tea" section, they can answer that question promptly. There you will learn all about tea from its technical definition to its simple definition. From the four kinds: Black, Green, White, and Oolong. Oolong happens to be my favorite. (I love Orchid Oolong.) World of Tea This section gives you a map where you can explore the different kinds of tea from different places all over the world. If you click on the location you can see in detail what kind of tea that location produces. Preparation Do you know how to make a proper cup of tea? Well it's not heating water in the microwave and stuffing a tea bag in, that's for sure. Learn all about how one makes a cup of tea, and how long you should let it steep. Health Benefits well we all sorta know that drinking tea has health benefits, but what exactly does it do for our bodies? Find out in this section. I also want to recommend the "Article Archive" where you will find some great articles on tea. They were very interesting and diverse.
