Hi my name is Amanda, and I’m a yarn hound. I love buying yarn and stashing it for future projects. If you have a yarn hound in your life then you know how addicting yarn buying can be, if not take my word for it. So when I found PicClick and discovered yet another way to buy yarn and knitting or crocheting supplies, I was thrilled!
PicClick is a way to visually search eBay, Craig’s List, and Etsy.
At the top of the page you’ll find tabs with their names on it. Click the site you’d like to search for something you are shopping for, and then type the item into the search field, specify the minimum/maximum you’d like to spend and click search. Then the magic happens! The results load and instead of listings you have images! Click the image and you’ll be taken to the listing for that item! Not looking for a specific item? Well then, why don’t you browse via the category listings beneath the search field?
There are some differences between the different selling platforms. While the search setup is the same for Etsy, I would like to point out that unlike the eBay search the Etsy page loads with the newest listings from Etsy – just like the Etsy site does! You can browse the listings by newest or oldest first. The search for Craig’s List works a little bit differently. You have to select your location first from the listing, and then you can put in what you are looking for and the price you are willing to pay.
I don’t think I can go back to shopping via listings on those sites individually now, I really love being able to shop by the picture instead of text.
