I think it is important to continue growing intellectually and emotionally. That’s why I’m constantly finding sites about furthering education, building brainpower, or even finding ways to let go of pent up emotion. So I was very happy to stumble upon Pick the Brain, a site dedicated to helping you continue growing as a person. Their tag line is even, “Grow Yourself”.
Now it absolutely, positively, 100% is a self improvement site, so if that’s not your thing at least I told you ahead of time so you can opt out. But I think I found some really great tips here on being motivated (I’m an itinerant procrastinator at times – for example I have three papers due this April and haven’t started any of them) and productive. And I hope that you’ll walk away from this site with the same reaction, that you found some practical information that you can use to grow yourself.
On the main page you’ll find featured articles, as well as a handy search engine and several menus. At the very top of the page you’ll find the options Motivation, Productivity, Health, and Self Improvement. You can click into those categories to discover articles that fit under their topic.
A little further down the page and you’ll find another menu, it includes the categories Home, Articles, 30 Days, 90 Days, Archives, Community Blog, and About. The most interesting thing on that menu are the 30 and 90 Days sections where you’ll discover articles, and in the case of the 90 Days (a day by day article feature), that will help you improve yourself in that time frame. I’m currently working through the articles in the 90 Days section, reading one a day.
