A podiobook is a serialized audiobook (much like a podcast). Here at Podiobooks you can listen to books for free! How does it work? Well when you find a book you want to listen too, just click the play button to listen. Or you can subscribe to the book and get one episode at a time!
I find that this is an awesome way to do two things at once. For example, I can listen to a podiobook while I’m crocheting, making jewelry, trying to learn to knit, etc. It would be a great way to do household chores too, well not vacuuming, but chores like the dishes, dusting, sorting papers, folding laundry, etc.
On the main page you’ll find the featured podiobooks selected by the site’s staff for your enjoyment. You can also find navigation options at the top of the page, as well as a search engine, and recent updates and news.
To find more books you can either use the search engine or the drop down box of book genres. Select the genre you want from the drop down box and click go, and you’ll be whisked away to a selection of books in that genre.
This is an awesome site that offers you another way to devour books! Check it out today!

Amanda, thanks for another great tip. I’ve been happy to use several of your tips and just want to say that you have great insight as to what others may enjoy. By the way, hope you know about the Gutenberg Project. There are lots of books there that can be read online or downloaded to be read at leisure. Not quite as handy as Podiobooks but still good to know about.
I LOVE this site. I’m currently listening to the third book in a trilogy. I can continue with my other activities on the computer and still be “reading” a book.
