Modern screen resolutions make it so all of our icons are a wee bit smaller than comfortable for us to look at. One of the main offenders is the Quicklaunch toolbar.
Have an e-mail message that you need to resend?
Maybe you sent something to one person and after the fact decided that it should also go to someone else… or maybe you sent something to someone who “lost” it and need to get the information to them once again.
Whatever drives the need to resend a message the question becomes how do you accomplish… Continue reading
Most modern PCs have USB ports in the front and back. For best results, use the back ports for hardware such as printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, card readers, or digital camera docks—things you never or rarely unplug.
Save the front USB ports for things you plug in/unplug often like digital cameras, mp3 players, “thumb drives”, etc. This is not only a better way… Continue reading
When you’re trying to move, copy or otherwise manipulate text in MS Word do you find yourself frustrated with all the steps involved?
Many people I know will choose to highlight the text then cut or copy the text move the cursor to the new location and paste.

While a flash is usually an important part of taking a picture and capturing the full extent of your subject, more light on the subject isn’t always desired. Note: There are other functions you can do, too! You can… Continue reading
Use a lot of borders in MS Excel?
Tired of the old routine of selecting cells, choosing border from the borders button… or, worse yet, going into the Format Cells dialog box to set borders in there… then repeating the same process for each and every place we need them?
I personally, use MS Word 2007 a lot and I really like that I… Continue reading
You know I’ve been on a house cleaning kick, well one of the things I’ve been sorting through and planning to get rid of are excess books that we don’t need any more. We have a lot of books that we’ve read, and they’re just not books you’d ever re-read, or they’re leftovers from our childhood. Either way I’ve got boxes and boxes of them and they’re cluttering up my… Continue reading
It happens, we add tons of sites into our favorites/bookmark menus and we’re left with a giant mess. Heck, most of the sites you added are not even in service anymore! You’ve organized them and you’ve dragged and dropped them before, but what about just straight-up deleting them?
How do you do that?
Easy! Perhaps so easy that most of you probably know how… Continue reading
Have an envelope attached to a Word document? You know, when you’ve added to the document and it appears above the first page?
Ever find that you have trouble getting just the envelope to print?
You keep returning to the Print dialog box and telling it to print only page 1 (since the envelope is first you’ve assumed that it’s counted as “page 1″)… Continue reading
