I’m not a judgmental cook or eater, so provided people don’t try to push their culinary point of view down my throat and tell me how wrong, wrong, wrong (!) my food choices are, I’m a happy camper. If you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, I will go out of my way to provide you with an option of something you can eat. I prefer to be inclusive, rather than exclusive, and I have several vegan friends who asked if I could use my site finding skills to find them vegan recipes. I went through a lot of sites before I settled on this one.
Note: There is a definite theme of vegan activism on this page, but I found it to be written in an inclusive manner. For example, take vegan food to share with co-workers, rather than the force everyone you know to listen to you rant about veganism on your soapbox as you ram vegan treats at them forcibly (I’ve been in that situation before). So I’m happy that they’re offering practical advice to fellow vegans.
When you arrive at the site, you’ll find the featured recipes and easy menu navigation. If something on the featured list doesn’t whet your appetite (I was captivated by the Melon Salad with Mint and Lime), then click on Recipes to check out what they have to offer. The featured recipes will still be there, but below them will appear recipe categories or the option to view by ingredient.
The recipe categories are Appetizer, Breakfast, Christmas, Cookie, Cupcake, Curry, Desserts, Drink, Entree, Gluten Free, Grilling, Holiday, Low Fat, Muffins, Quick Bread, Salad, Sandwich, Sauces, Sides, Soups, Stew, Superbowl, Sushi, and Thanksgiving. So you have a lot of different options for recipes.
