If you have a smartphone, you already know that it is a kid magnet. Kids today, even toddlers, love smartphones. They know how to use them for games and to take pictures, but they can also get into trouble with them. A child that you’ve allowed to play on your phone, might accidentally or on purpose open up another game and make purchases from within the game. Or they might pull up an R-rated movie on Netflix or open your Facebook and chat with strangers.
There’s a great app available in the Google Play store called Kids Place and it lets you take control of your phone and make sure children only access what you want them to.
Once this free app is installed and activated, your kid will only see a custome home screen that displays only the apps you have authorized for the child.
You can customize which apps are available for multiple users.
Using Kids Place settings, you can make sure the child only sees the apps you allow on the home screen and block them from the app store. You can also turn off WiFi and choose not to be alerted to incoming calls.
You’ll also be able to set a specific amount of play time that’s allowed and choose the time of the day.
Kids Place is available for free in the Google Play Store.
