Quicker File Transfers

How would you like to boost the speed of file transfers in your Vista or Windows 7 computer? Luckily, there’s a fix that will allow you to increase the speed every time you need to transfer large files from one partition to another. So, how does it work? Well, let’s check it out!

Since one cause of slow file transfers in Vista and Windows 7 is the Remote Differential Compression, you need to disable that feature. Here’s how you do it:

1. Press the Start button.

2. Open the Control Panel.

3. Go to the Programs and Features section. In Vista, you can find that in the Classic View. In Windows 7, it can be found by selecting either Large or Small icons in View by:

4. Select Turn on or off Windows features from the left pane.

5. Next, uncheck the option for Remote Differential Compression.

That’s it! Now, your file transfers will be smokin’ fast. You just wait and see!
