Windows is known for offering many ways to do the same thing. Most of you know how to copy and paste files and folders from one location to the other, but here’s another way to duplicate a them.
On the desktop or in a folder hold down your Ctrl key while dragging what you want duplicated to another part of the desktop/window.
When you let go of the mouse button a duplicate will appear called “Copy of (file name)”.
Another duplication method is to right-click and drag the folder/file then let go of the mouse button. A window will pop up asking you if you want to copy, remove or create a shortcut. Select “Copy Here” from the menu.
Again, you’ll get the file name preceded by “Copy of”.
Yet another method to add to your bag of tricks.
