You’ve probably heard of it, but do you what all it entails? Well, today, you’re going to find out all about the QuickTime Player, so prepare yourself. Here we go!
Many computer users today use the program from Apple called QuickTime to watch videos and listen to music. With the recent technology of iTunes and the advancement of the Internet, right when you open the QuickTime Player, the newest and hottest picks are displayed on the opening page of the application. This feature helps to inform you about the latest happenings in music and in the movies. Similar to programs like Windows Media Player and RealOne Player, QuickTime offers the efficiency and easy accessibility required for entertainment and enjoyment.
Here are some different features you can enjoy when listening to music and watching videos with the QuickTime Player.
- Under the File menu, there are the options of Open File and Open URL. You can select a video or music file to open with QuickTime. If the desired file is not contained on your computer, you can still watch any video or listen to any music on the Internet by simply entering the URL into the designated space after selecting the Open URL option. Under Open Recent, the most recently played files will be listed.
- When watching a clip, you can watch it in different sizes by going under the View tab, where you can view the clip in half size, full size, double size or even in a full screen size. You can watch a movie trailer for an upcoming movie in full screen too. Cool, huh?! Also, if you want to repeat whatever you are viewing, the Loop option is also available under the View tab.
- Under Edit, you can select your player preferences and QuickTime preferences so that whenever you open up the application, it will work the way you want it to.
- The Window tab can show the movie information, A/V controls and the content guide of the particular material. You can even add a movie clip you’re watching as a favorite, if you’d like! This will make coming back to it much easier the next time.
There are not many more options available with QuickTime, but if you decide to pay and update to QuickTime Pro, there are many other features available right at the click of your mouse. More information is also available under the Help menu. Should you need any further assistance, the Help tab is sure to have answers to most, if not all, of your questions. Now, go on and enjoy QuickTime!
