It isn’t easy to quit smoking and it’s even harder to do it without a support system. Qwitter is a Web site dedicated to helping you quit smoking by keeping track of how much you smoke and by giving you a way to vent your feelings toward the quitting process!
To begin, click on the Get Started button. That will take you to the instruction page, which will walk you through the steps you need to begin. I suggest watching the instructional video they have provided to the right of step one. It walks you through all of the steps you need to follow in order to use Qwitter.
It may sound complicated, but it’s really easy! You need to sign up for a Twitter account, which is what Qwitter is based from. Just follow the directions and once you’re signed up, you can begin posting on Qwitter. Just type:
@iquit 12 – This would mean you have smoked 12 cigarettes.
Or, you can send your thoughts and feelings, like this: @iquit I’m so tired, my hair stinks and I have a terrible cough.
If you want to see your progress, you need to go here.
Also, remember that you have to replace the username with whatever you signed up with. For example, my link would look like this: http://qwitter.tobaccofreeflorida.com/qwitters/forwork
You can also share the information via other social networks by clicking the Share button on your Qwitter page.
Now, you can head over to the next section of Qwit Tips to get helpful tips on things you can do for yourself to stop smoking. There are five tips in all. They also provide a toll-free number you can call for extra support in your quest to stop smoking. Good luck!
