Windows Explorer now opens to My Documents instead of Libraries. Please tell me how to put it back to open to the Libraries again.
Sheryll, if you’re clicking on the folder icon on the taskbar to open My Documents, you should right click on the icon and select Unpin this program from taskbar.
Then open Windows Explorer to Libraries. This can be done by going to the Start menu and clicking Documents, Music, etc. and navigating back to Libraries. You can do this by clicking on Libraries in the address bar (see below).
Return to the taskbar and right click the folder icon on the taskbar again. This time select Pin this program to taskbar.
And you’re all set. The next time you click on the folder icon, Libraries will open.
On the other hand, if you’re accessing Windows Explorer from the Start menu, click on All Programs and, under Accessories, right click on Windows Explorer and select Properties.
In the Windows Explorer Properties dialog box, under the Shortcut tab, type (or copy and paste) the following in the Target: field.
This sets the default to Libraries, and will open Windows Explorer in Libraries the next time you click there.
Thanks for the question, Sheryll.
