Resize Windows 7 Columns Shortcut

Note: This tip is for Windows Explorer, and will not work in Internet Explorer

This might be a little obsessive compulsive for some of you out there, but, as you all know, I am a stickler for organization. Have you ever been in Windows Explorer and noticed that all of the columns along the top are of various sizes? Sometimes it makes it hard to see what’s in each one.

Sure, you could move your mouse pointer in between each column and manually resize, but where’s the fun in that? Let’s learn a quick keyboard shortcut that will automatically resize the columns to their most optimal size, instead.

JustĀ  press Ctrl and the Plus (+) sign on your keyboard’s number pad.

Ta-da! Instantly resized columns that fit the information within perfectly!
