It’s new toy time for yours truly! Android was being poorly represented in my household, so I decided to get a Galaxy S III to round out the technology spectrum. That means I’m finally up to the latest version of Android and can take screenshots without rooting or jumping through hoops!
So how exactly DO I take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy S III?
Simple! Just hold the Power button and Home button at the same time! You’ll hear a shutter click and your image will be saved to your gallery!

This is a different method than other Android-powered phones that have you hold Volume Down and the Power button. Maybe it’s because the Galaxy S III is big enough to bake cookies on?
Give it a try today!

This is just an imitation of iPad!
Hi
There is an easier way.
use the edge of your hand then start at the left or right edge of the screen and move your hand to the opposite side. You have the full edge of your hand, from the tip of little finger to start of wrist.

Thank you Andrew. I don’t have a smart phone yet and I have been strongly considering the galaxy 3. Reading your comments certainly helps. Knowing I can do this feature is great. I use it on my computer all the time. Can you tell me if you can take pictures from video while previewing it or only while actually doing the video?
