If you receive a lot of email chances are half of it is unwanted.

Here’s an easy way in Outlook/Express and Thunderbird to scan through mail quickly and delete the garbage: hold down the Shift key and use the down arrow key to zip through each message. This will highlight each one.

When you get to a message you want to keep, arrow up one and hit “Delete”.

Bad email all gone.

Arrow down to the next email and start the process all over.
