Are you an avid SeaMonkey user? If so, I’ve got some great news for you today! On July 19, 2007, SeaMonkey version 1.1.3 was released and it is now available for download. Now, if you know anything about new releases by now, you know that they always come with new features. And well, SeaMonkey is no exception. They have jam packed this new version with everything they could think of. (Note: If you’re not quite sure what SeaMonkey is, you can learn all about it by reading this article). Now, let’s go on and check this out, shall we?!
First of all and most importantly, SeaMonkey 1.1.3 closes a lot of the security gaps that seemed to be getting in the way in previous versions (1.1.2, etc). Several security vulnerabilities have been fixed. Along with that, a lot of other small problems that have been popping up in SeaMonkey are now taken care of as well. With everything that has changed within SeaMonkey’s security, it is back to being on the same level as both Firefox and Thunderbird. How cool is that?!
Now, if you’re still using an older version of SeaMonkey, you are urged to download 1.1.3. Otherwise, you’re putting yourself at risk for security problems, because the older versions are no longer being maintained or updated. Also, if you’re worried about SeaMonkey being completely different, don’t stress out! Version 1.1.3 comes with all the familiar functionalities you’re used to. It is now just a better protected application for you to use. You have to love that! So, if you’re ready to experience the new SeaMonkey 1.1.3, you can download it (for free, of course!) right here. Enjoy it!
