With a name like Songza, I bet you knew it’d have something to do with music! Songza allows you to create radio stations to share with your friends for free.
To get started you’ll need to click the Create a Station Here For Free button (or the green Create Station button at the top of the page), that will whisk you away to the registration form. On the registration form you need to create a name for your station, provide a working e-mail address, and then create a user name and password. Then click the continue button, which takes you to a page where you will start adding songs to your station.
In order to release your station you need at least six artists, and at least 10 songs. To start adding songs you can either type in the name of a song, or you can type in the name of the artist. Click the add button next to the song you’d like to add to your station to add it. When you have the correct numbers, click the blue Release button!
That’s it you have a radio station that you can share with your friends. When your station page loads, you can look for the word Share and there will be a link that you can share with your friends as well as a Twitter, and Facebook icon – that you can click to share it over those social media networks.
Once you’ve shared your station with your friends and family, they can request songs (if you allow song requests) and listen to your station. If you run into any questions you can check out the How To sections at the bottom of the page. There is one for creating a station, and one for refining your station once you’ve created it.
If you don’t want to create a station you can still use the site by browsing all the stations other people have made. Click Browse All at the top, and then you can check out the stations listed. Or you can type in a song or artist in the search engine and see what stations come up for it! This is a great way to listen to music!
