Splashtop 2 is a free Android app that allows you access your PC or MAC from your phone or tablet.
It’s free for personal use on a local network. You’ll have full access to your programs, documents and e-mails. There’s also support for Java and Flash. If you want full access to your computer from anywhere, you’ll have to subscribe to the Anywhere Access Pack.
You may access up to five computers with your Splashtop account. If you want it for professional use, you’ll need to use Splashtop Business.
If there’s an important document that you need to check on your computer, you can access it. Or maybe you want to look through your photographs on your hard drive.
The app promises 100% compatibility with PC and Mac applications. You should also be able to access video and music on your computer, no matter what format they’re in. If your tablet is short on storage space, you could access movies stored on the hard drive of your computer.
Perhaps your favorite PC game isn’t available as a fully functioning app for a tablet.
If you opt for the Anywhere Access Pack, you’ll pay $1.99 per month or an annual subscription fee of $16.99.
It works with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 and also with Max OS X 10.6 and up or with a Linux-based system using Ubusntu 12.04. Now, you will need a strong Internet connection and it’s suggested that your computer have a dual-core CPU.
Keeping photos and documents in cloud storage can make them accessible from a variety of devices, but for the times when you need to access things on a particular computer from your tablet or phone, this app could be very useful.
You can check it out in the Google Play Store.
