Stop Music & Animation on Web pages

Q:
I know that I can stop animations and music on web pages by clicking “Stop” in the toolbar or hitting the “Esc” key, but is there a way to stop animations and music from ever playing?
A:
Some people just don’t like the blinking lights and cheesy music found on some web pages. Forget the fact that some web designer went through a lot of trouble to make their web site syrupy cute, it can get down right annoying.
With Internet Explorer go to Tools/Internet Options and select the “Advanced” tab. Scroll down to the “Multimedia” section and uncheck the boxes marked “Play animations in web pages” and “Play sounds in web pages”.

Click “OK”.
No more sappy music! No more blinking!
