This site is really cool! You can check out Google Map satellite imagery from around the world and vote on the best images that users have snapped.
When you arrive at the site it will load in on random location around the world, I would recommend clicking the question mark button in the top right corner of the page. It opens up a little window that explains how to vote on images, how to move around the map, and how to make the page full screen.
To take a screen shot of some cool thing you’ve found, click the camera button at the bottom, center of the page. You’ll enter your name and it will snap the picture. Then When you take a picture it offers you the option to share your picture with a link. For example, I was cruising around looking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and found this nifty garden feature. Check it out with this link.
This is a really cool way to experience satellite images! Go check it out for yourself today!
