I can’t imagine writing on money, let alone doodling on it. To me, that has always been quite disrespectful. However, I do find myself curious as to what other people have written on it. I also wonder why they do it. So, as such, I was drawn to this site when I saw it. Today, I want to share with you a site of picture essays, devoted to sharing what has been written on money.
The site is really easy to navigate. On each page, you will see pictures of the money with the transcript of what it says beneath it. There are two pages and to get to the next page, you only need to click the number 2 at the top or bottom of the page.
Photos with transcripts that have a red asterisk next to them have comments and can have comments added to them. Just click the photo to be taken to its page. You will also find the comments there, if any have been added for that photo.
To add a comment, scroll past the other comments and click the link of Add Comment. A new window will pop up with a blank text box and a place for your name and e-mail address. When you’ve filled it out, click Save to have your comments added to the site.
So, there you have it. A very straightforward look into what is written on the money that gets circulated around this world. I haven’t come any closer to discovering the motivation that people have for doing it, but I still found the site interesting. Hope you do too!
