This site is a fun jaunt into making something into a collective sketch. How does it work? Click Draw on the side menu to begin. You get to draw one line that is up to 100px long. Then you get to vote on the opacity of the other lines of the picture. If you think the line should be in the drawing, then vote for it to be a dark line. If, however, you think it isn’t necessary for that particular drawing, you can vote for it to be a very light line.
After you have used all your votes, there is still more that you can do here. You’ll notice under the drawing that there is another menu bar with the title of the drawing on it. There you will see an envelope, a clock, a drawing and a pie graph. The envelope will let you mail this site to a friend you may think will enjoy it. The clock will let you see how the drawing came together through a time lapse. The drawing will show you a static image of the drawing and the pie graph will let you see all the statistics of the drawing.
On the side menu, you will also find the About and Browse sections. The About section tells you all about how the site got started and is also the main page of the site.
Browse – This link lets you browse the other drawings that have been finished! You’ll notice that the menu buttons here are the same as the ones on the title bar of the current drawing. They stand for the same things. I really enjoyed the time lapse ones, because it really shows you how the work progressed.
I hope you’ll have as much fun contributing here as I did. Enjoy!
