While Microsoft Word has a built in synonym finder, I’ve found it doesn’t have a synonym for every word. That’s when I head over to this site and find a better and less repetitive way of writing what I need to write. This site is definitely a God-send when I’m in the middle of an essay! But you could also use this to help solve crossword puzzles, like my mom does!
To find a synonym, just type in the word you want another word for, and click search. It will then present you with a list with definitions of words that are synonyms. It’s just that easy.

On the main page, you’ll find an explanation as to why synonyms are useful, Today’s word, and a listing of the most viewed words on the site.
At the top of the page, you’ll find navigational tabs that will allow you to switch between synonyms, antonyms, and definitions. If you click on the link Bookshelf, you’ll be taken to a list of recommended thesauruses, if you’re looking to purchase one to keep on hand at home.

This site is a great one to bookmark; you never know when you need to find another word for something!
