System Information for Windows (SIW)

System Information for Windows (SIW)

I love showcasing cool software and this week’s download definitely qualifies as “cool!”

System Information for Windows, or SIW, is a program that gives you exactly what it says it will. A lot of it. SIW will scan your PC and network up and down and deliver to you a wealth of information that will keep you busy for quite some time. (That is, if you care about these things). Alright, Chad, so what kind of information does SIW show you anyway? Well, it’s almost easier to tell you what SIW doesn’t display. Want to know all your Internet Explorer or Firefox passwords? Well, you can. Wonder what type of motherboard you have? Not a problem. How about network activity? Piece of cake. I promise that SIW will let you know what is going on, but why don’t you take a look for yourself?!

1.) Software: Operating System, Installed Software and Hotfixes, Processes, Services, Users, Open Files, System Uptime, Installed Codecs, Licenses.

2.) Hardware: Motherboard, Sensors, BIOS, CPU, Chipset, PCI/AGP, USB and ISA/PnP Devices, Memory, Video Card, Monitor, Disk Drives, CD/DVD Devices, SCSI Devices, S.M.A.R.T., Ports, Printers.

3.) Network: Network Cards, Network Shares, Currently Active Network Connections, Open Ports.

4.) Tools: Password Recovery, Reveal Passwords Hidden Behind Asterisks, Product Keys and Serial Numbers (CD Key), MAC Address Changer, Shutdown/Restart.

5.) Real-time Monitors: CPU, Memory, Page File Usage and Network Traffic.

6.) SIW can also create a report file (CSV, HTML, TXT or XML) and is able to run in batch mode (for PC auditing and inventory).

All this and the SIW doesn’t even install on your system. It runs in place, which means it saves you some hard drive space and you can even run it from a thumb drive, which I absolutely love. So, that’s it! SIW is a powerful tool that has some incredible applications and it’s all yours for free. Download SIW now and start taking advantage of all it has to offer.

SIW works on the follow Windows operating systems: Microsoft Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/Server 2003/Media Center/Tablet PC/Windows XP x64/Windows Vista.

You can download SIW here.
