Newsletter Testimonials

Our newsletters are very highly rated! Really, don't just take our word for it, read what the people have to say. And, no, our moms didn't write all of these to be make us feel good ;-)

  • "I really enjoy your Computers 101. There are so many helpful instructions. Have you ever considered writing a book that contains all of these helpful instructions? They are so much better than any of the "Dummy " books that I have purchased. I am sure that there are a lot of us out here that would buy one. Thanks for listening!"

  • "For weeks I've been discarding your mailings unread, thinking
they were junk and filtered thusly. I took a risk today and
    decided to open one.
I've got to tell ya, I appreciated the humor and the info. I'll
make it a habit to look for it everyday. Sorry I might have
doubted it and I'll surely mention it to some friends. "
    ~S
  • "Steve, I just wanted to thank you for such a helpful newsletter. I have subscribed to other computer tip or help newsletters before and ended up unsubscribing because I simply could not understand a word. Yours is in a language I understand. I can move around a computer pretty good, I just don't know the lingo. You give me helpful hits in plain English, not 'computer-eze' . Thank you! Keep up the great work."
    ~R
  • "Just got to write and say I think your site is the BEST. I don't know a thing about computers and can't wait to get to e-mail to see what you have for me today. Can't thank you enough for what you do. Sometimes you even write it so that a dummy like me can understand.

Thanks again for making my day."
    ~M
  • "Just wanted to compliment you on your site and for the computer tips. I have used computers for a long time but sometimes have a "forgetful" moment on how to do something. Your computer tips are wonderful and I just wanted to compliment and say thank you."
    ~J

    ~P
  • "I just got my first newsletter from you and .... I love it! I really like your tips. I went to the -well, I would say archives- and had found tons of goodies there. Thanks a lot! I am waiting patiently-NOT, for my everyday newsletter from you! Keep up the good work guys there. Happy Valentine's and keep hugging' !"
    ~R
  • "Steve, I love these computer tips. For someone who did not know much
about Windows and was a self-teacher, I have learned the most from your
    columns."
    ~M
  • "I wanted you to know that I think your newsletter is great! Lots of interesting and useful information ... extremely well presented. Thanks to you and your staff for all your work."
    ~S

    ~B
  • "Just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your publication. I'm not very good at computers, except for shopping. You guys have taught me so much!! If there is a site I could vote for you, let me know. You guys ROCK!! "
    ~R
  • "Somewhile ago, I wrote you and asked for permission in publishing your emails I received for my members to read and learn. You said it was okay as long as I gave credit where credit ws due!

I never really thought about it very much until tonight. A member of my (not-for-profit) community called me after we had spent an hour in messenger chatting. This was the 1st real communication I'd had with one of my oldest members.

He said he now helped on a forum with a website that had almost 10,000 members and he had me to thank for it.

I had no idea what he was talking about until he mentioned what he had learned through my "Computers 101" area of my site.

I suppose you can say that my site became better because I offered some classes taught by you at WorldStart.

I have no idea if my small messages brought any business to you or not, but I hope in some small way, I've been able to repay you for your valuable emails. I not only have learned more to make my actual job easier, but it seems I've been able to pass along your knowledge to others.

Thank you so much for your daily jokes and pc tidbits. "
    ~G
  • "I think you are performing a great service with your computer tips newsletter and I want to tell you that the December wallpaper is just awesome. I downloaded the Icicle scene with the calendar. This photography is just breathtaking. Thanks so much for it!!"
    ~S
  • "Thank you so much for introducing me to the incredible site "Howstuffworks.com" (it was in an article you wrote on search engines and research sites other than Google...). I have spent hours reading the brilliant, fascinating, "user-friendly" things on this site -- and I never would have found it were it not for your WorldStart Newsletter (which I also read in detail, and still have no idea why I lucked into getting it). Many, many thanks from an insatiably curious researcher. "
    ~L

  • "I don't know who sent you to me, but if I find out, I'll take them out to dinner. My son gives me this"Why don't you know that?" look whenever I ask him a computer question. I can now call on Steve for help, AND all my friends think I know a lot about computers, and are asking ME questions. Thanks a million for your site. In case you don't know what a help you are,YOU ARE SUPER!!!
    MERRY CHRISTMAS "
    ~D
  • "Hi guys (and gals)

Been getting your newsletter for quite some time now....THANKS

Have gotten plenty of neat and useful tips....THANKS AGAIN.

The latest tip "Keep Your Folder View Constant" has cured a major case of "pain in the rump" for me.

I have hundreds of files with hundreds of documents and it has always been that PITR I told you about to constantly have to switch from thumbnails to a list.

Thank Santa for me for this one tip.

Merry X-Mas to all, and to all a good write. "
    ~J
  • "Just a note to wish you and yours as well as Worldstart a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR as well as to thank you for your tips over the year. "
    ~P
  • "I am at a loss for words..your site, well just everything on it is beyond belief! It's like I had a private tutor; your instructions are simple and to the point and yet fun to read. The wealth of knowledge you have so graciously shared is just WOW! Your site is the first I have found to have everything interesting, useful, fun and "I got to look at all of it again!" Especially your past/current newsletters!! I will pass along your site address to everyone I know and then some - it is a MUST see, learn and enjoy!!! Thanks so very much!!!! "
    ~P
  • "Thank you, thank you, thank you; you helped me unstick my outgoing e-mail message after having tried many other methods!! pheeew!!! "
