I could not get it to change and FYI I screwed up my computer BIG trying to get it to UNinstall. I had to have a computer tech fix it, but I am not computer saavy. Also FYI the links are on Cnet and I am not fond of that site. I tried to install from my desktop on FF and it was still "gathering files" 2 hours later, so I just closed out and didn't do that. Chrome just kept telling me I could only do this from the "Chrome store" so again, I struck out and am stuck with Timeline. Have tried a few ways to turn it back to the old format and as you say you can change it in Google chrome but when you use Ie it reverts to the new timeline again. I didn't install it, just got changed on me one day - not happy, surely enough people complaining would entice them to revert back to what was a much better product! In my opinion, you should have mentioned that there's "no going back" once you have Timeline; it is NOT reversible if you don't like it. You should also be promoting that (1) there are a lot of scams promising to "remove" Timeline [it can't be done] and (2) there are a couple of browser add-ons that will let you customize Timeline to look and operate more like Facebook before Timeline. The "Social Fixer" add-on functions on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome; it will NOT work on Internet Explorer. There IS another provider that Does work on IE, but I can't recall it's name. I CAN say these two do NOT promise to "remove" Timeline; they promise to give you more control over it. Once you install the add-on, you are able to also view your Friends' pages in the same format to which you've set your own page.
