I love Science Fiction. It doesn’t matter if it is a book, a television show, or a movie – if it is Sci-Fi I am more than willing to check it out and see what it is about. So when I discovered this amazing flow chart of the History of Science Fiction, I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it with you.

By clicking today’s link, you’ll be whisked away to the flow chart. It is in .JPG format and I know that in my browser, I had to click it to see it full size. So start your journey by clicking the image and making all that glorious detail easier to see.

To follow the flow chart start up at the top left side of the page where Fear and Awe breaks down into Animism and Legend. And then follow any branch of the flow chart that you want to.

You’ll find all sorts of fun things that have been included from the mythological tales and legends to the effect that the Enlightenment had on the creation of the genre itself to the creation of epics like Star Wars – you’ll be sure to be amazed.

Check out this amazing, artistic rendering of the History of Science Fiction today!
