I adore maps! I have been fascinated with them ever since I discovered a road map in my dad’s car as a little kid. I can still remember learning how to fold it back up correctly, and the sense of pride it instilled in me. That fascination hasn’t faded as I’ve grown over, so when I discovered The Map Room, I knew I had to share it with you.
This is a blog that is literally all about maps, and by maps I mean anything that falls into that category whether it is medieval or out of the pages of fantasy fiction or the technology that surrounds us like GPS.
Navigation is easy since it’s a blog, just scroll down and read the different articles on maps! You’ll find links to the Archives, and the Calendar of Map Events at the top of the page.
Some of my favorite articles here have to do with the reviews on new applications for GPS, or the humor that can be found in the errors that Google Maps can make. I also recommend reading about the tactile maps that would provide people who are blind a way to read a map. That article was very intriguing.
This is a great way to learn about maps whether your interest runs as deep as mine, or if you just want to learn about the latest navigations software or application out there. Check it out today!
