I am a huge believer in taking ownership for what I do in my life. If I screw something up, then it is my fault and my fault alone. Being responsible for my actions makes me consider what I choices I make. Right now, Liberty Mutual has tapped into the market of responsibility, and while this is their site and they are a commercial entity, the message they are spreading is powerful and one and I wanted to share it with you.
There are several interesting areas for you to check out. The one that is foremost in my mind is the RP Roundtable: Texting & Driving video. I’d say that texting and driving is a pet peeve of mine, but I feel too strongly about the topic to categorize it like that. I fear every time my sister gets behind the wheel of her car because I know that she texts and drives. And having driven behind her watching her bob and weave in her lane while tailgating the person in front of her while she drive distractedly makes me even more fearful for her.
Another issue you can tackle is the debate over children moving back in with their parents due to their financial situation. Read the article and the comment with your opinion. I think that there are cases where children are abusing their parent’s generosity but I also think that those people are in the minority of people who’ve had to move back in with their parents. Family is important! If you can’t lean on your family in times of trouble, who can you go to?
Those are just two of the debates on responsibility that you’ll find here. Be sure to check out the other sections too!
