If you read this newsletter on a regular basis, I’m sure you know how Firefox offers up a bunch of different themes and add ons, right? So, have you ever wondered if any other programs do that too? Well, as a matter of fact, the e-mail program of Thunderbird does. If you use Thunderbird as your main e-mail program, you’re definitely going to want to check this tip out, so keep reading for all the info!
Just like Firefox, Thunderbird has add ons, extensions and themes that you can choose from to make your e-mail program a little more personalized. You can find all they have to offer on this Web site. On the left hand side, you’ll find all the links you need to navigate through the site and get the extras you want. There’s even a link called “Recommended Add Ons,” which is a list they update every once in awhile to show you the “most popular” downloads.
For example, when I looked at the list today, there was Adblock Plus, FoxyTunes and Enigmail. Those are three very cool add ons, if I do say so myself! The themes you can choose from are lots of fun too. You can select a category to search under (Miscellaneous, Modern, Compact or Nature) and a whole slew of options will come up for you. My personal favorite is under the Modern section and it’s called Cobalt Thunderbird. Once you find an add on or a theme that you like, just click on its link to install it for yourself. That’s all there is to it. Who knew you could get your Thunderbird to be just like you and have so much fun doing it?!
