Tips By Number
Here’s something new about WorldStart’s Web site you may not have known about before! Did you know you can search for certain tips on our site by simply typing in a number? That’s right, each tip we record in our archives is assigned a number and it’s a very easy way to go back and search for them later on. So, if you ever have trouble finding one of our tips because you’re not sure which keywords to use, you might want to give the tip number method a try. Okay, let’s get started!
First, I’d like you to go to www.worldstart.com and click on the Computer Tips tab at the top of the page. From there, click on any one of the tips you see. You could click on one under the Recently Added Tips section, the Most Popular Tips section or you could even click on one of the categories at the top and select a tip from there. It doesn’t matter which tip it is, as long as you have one open. Once you’ve chosen a tip, look in your Web browser’s address bar for the URL. You’ll see http://www.worldstart.com/tips/tips.php/ and then a number. For example, http://www.worldstart.com/tips/tips.php/5392.
That number is basically the tip’s ID. If you know that number, you can go up to your address bar, plug it in and find the tip you’re looking for in no time at all. Now, I know you’re probably wondering how you can find the numbers in the first place, right? Well, in our Computer Tips newsletter, at the very end of each tip, we give you that number! Just look at the very end of the URL and you’ll see it every time. Now that you know where to find it, you can start keeping track of the numbers for the tips you may want to refer back to. It’s just another way to search through our tip archives and easily find what you’re looking for. It’s a win-win situation!
