DSL - A DSL connection is a high speed internet connection- DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line (some who have had difficulties may have another word for the "D" :-). Anyhow, DSL uses your existing phone lines for connection, but at very high speeds. It is another "always on" type internet connection and in a few years will probably be the # 1 high speed type connection (cable is now). Keep in mind that cable is generally a little faster then "standard" DSL. However, there are newer DSL technologies that are as fast, or even faster, than a T1 line ( a T1 line is really quick, you can easily host a busy web site, or multiple busy sites for that matter, with a T1 line). So if you go for one of these higher speed DSL connections, you'll blow away a cable modem.
